Indian Valley Outfitters
Indian Valley Outfitters, based in San Miguel, runs guided and unguided hunts on private ranch land in Monterey and Santa Clara counties that's run under a game management program. Hunts cover year-round wild pig, blacktail deer, turkey, quail, dove and more, and hunters can stay in a three-bedroom ranch home on the property.
Their guarantee is in writing on their website: professional guides, reliable transportation in the field and game-managed private land, and if they fall short of that, they'll work with you to make it right. Every outfitter here has real strengths, so watch the full breakdown and make your own call.

- Ask exactly what's included: lodging, meals, processing, taxidermy.
- Confirm the guide is licensed with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.
- Get the price and deposit terms in writing. California requires nonlead ammunition for hunting.
Compare at least two or three companies. The right fit is usually the one that explains the job, the schedule and the price clearly before work starts.
